Spring / Easter Wedding Themes

Spring is in the air, and what better time for new beginnings? A Spring / Easter wedding can be so gorgeous if you put in some creativity.

Here are some fresh spring wedding theme ideas to help you get the ball rolling.

Spring / Easter wedding Theme- Wedding Color Schemes

Bring together a spring time atmosphere with pastels such as yellows, pinks, greens and baby blues.

Spring / Easter wedding Theme- Wedding Invitations

Try cutting your invites into festive shapes, such as eggs, bunnies or a baskets. Use bright colored paper, and stick on some rhinestones for some sparkle.  Get a stamp from a local craft store that has Easter shapes on it, and stamp those shapes onto the invitations.

Hard boil some eggs and dye them with bright, fun colors, putting different patterns and designs on them. You can do this with house hold food coloring, or you can buy egg coloring kits at most craft stores. Find some toy or stuffed animal chicks and rabbits and place them around the room. Make your own Easter baskets, and fill them with basket filler and chocolate goodies, place these all around the room. Make some big bows out of ribbon and hang them around the room. Use decorations with butterflies, birds and bird nests in them. Fill the room with spring flowers such as tulips, daisies, lilies, daffodils and lilacs. Find a spring time wishing well and have everyone make a wish for the bride and groom. Decorate with bright colored pin wheels.

Mini wind mills. A "nest" full of chocolate mini eggs. Flower or butterfly shaped candles. Make a personalized packet of seeds for your guests to plant. Attach a photo or a special poem to it.

Fill a large glass bowl with water and have floating candles resting on top. Find floating candles in the shape of spring flowers. Find a tin pail and fill it with all kinds of seasonal flowers, and have a tall pillar candles in the center. Decorate the outside with small butterfly stickers or stick on ornaments. Make your own birds nest centerpiece by using a wreath made of branches for the outside edge, and filling the center in by gluing more branches to the inside edge of the wreath. Make sure the center is secure, then put some decorative or chocolate eggs in the middle. Buy a decorative lantern and place some butterflies inside. Line the top with a transparent fabric so the butterflies won't get out. Have decorative birdhouses as your centerpieces.
