Western Wedding Themes

So you're thinking of having a western wedding, are you? What a great choice! A Western / Country wedding theme can be a lot of fun to bring together. - Not to mention unique! Check out our ideas on how to do it!

Western Wedding Themes- Color Schemes

Western wedding colors are generally a mix of browns, rusts and tans.

Western Wedding Themes- Wedding Invitations

For a cute, original western invitation, cut a brown piece of paper in the shape of a cowboy hat. Outline the details in a dark colored pen, and tie a mini "rope" around the base. Do the same with the shape of a cowboy boot.

Western Wedding Themes- Wedding Decorations

Collect cowboy hats and tack them side by side along the walls. Use wooden fence posts to line the isles, and have old cowboy boots resting against them. Get some hay bundles or bails, and add to them but putting old tins cans, cowboy boots, cowboy hats, and other items around them. This is a great way to fill empty side spaces, or even make main focal points. Here are some items you can collect that have a "Western" element to them: Cowboy hats, cowboy boots, old wagons, hay, tin cans, saddle, spurs, bandanas, rope, sheriff's badges.

Western Wedding Themes- Wedding Favors

Make a bottle of "xxx' full of any item of your choice. Go out and buy some little kid cowboy boots. Attach a card with your guest's names, and presto, you've got your own personalized place card holders!

Fun Things to Wear

Have the groomsmen wear bandanas, and have the bridesmaids wear old western style dresses.  Or have the servers wear the same.
