Vampires Wedding – Get Scared by the Fang-tastic?

A SURBITON couple gave guests a fang-tastic wedding to remember – they exchanged vows dressed as Dracula and his bride.

Bus driver Nigel Harvard and nursery cook Alex married at Weybridge register office in a tongue in cheek horror-themed ceremony. Guests dressed up as zombies, witches, werewolves and skeletons to toast the happy couple with a goblet of red wine.

Bride Alex, who snapped up a bargain dress online for just £300, said: "I've been married before and just didn't want anything traditional. Nigel came up with the idea of a vampire theme and was expecting me to say no, but I love it.

"All our friends and family got involved and arrived in some amazing costumes. My daughter was dressed as a mad scientist and even my five month old niece wore a cat costume."

Registrar Anne Wood has to ask the couple to remove their fangs so they could recite their vows properly. She said: "I had no idea what the couple had planned before the ceremony. It was only when I saw a skeleton and a group of witches in the car park that I knew it wasn't going to be a conventional wedding.

"It is a good job I am not of a nervous disposition as one of the witnesses was dressed as a werewolf, complete with huge hairy hands and a full head mask with fur and red eyes. I could see him in the corner of my eye throughout the ceremony!"
